Project | State Energy Security Plan
Description | The Alaska Energy Authority is soliciting proposals from Contractors interested in writing a State Energy Security Plan (SESP) for Alaska. The energy sector is uniquely critical as all other infrastructure sectors depend on power and/or fuel to operate. A threat on energy infrastructure can directly affect the security and resilience within and across other critical infrastructure sectors – threatening public safety, the economy, and national security. The scope for this project is tailored to meet the requirements of the Department of Energy (DOE) as outlined in Section 40108 of the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) hereafter referred to as the “BIL.” The scope of work/guidance in this request covers DOE and AEA’s interpretation of how the six elements could be met – it is not exhaustive. Other methods for meeting the six elements are also acceptable.
